As a Senior Financial Controller, you will share responsibility for ensuring that the financial records of our Dutch and Belgian entities are accurate, complete, and timely. You will play a key role in the monthly, quarterly, and annual closings and ensure that reports comply with IFRS standards.
You look beyond just the numbers. You analyze anomalies, ask critical questions, and translate financial information into clear insights for the Finance Manager and other stakeholders. If you see an opportunity to make a process smarter, better, or more efficient, you take the initiative to tackle it together with your colleagues.
Within the team, you’ll work alongside three controllers, the Finance Manager, and the Accounting team. You won’t be managing any colleagues, but as a Senior Financial Controller, you’ll play a mentoring role. You’ll share your knowledge, assist other controllers with substantive issues, and provide clear instructions when necessary.

As a Senior Financial Controller, you’ll help maintain a strong financial foundation and continue to improve it.
Coordinate and perform the monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings for our Dutch entities;
Preparing, reviewing, and analyzing financial reports and management information;
Ensure that financial reports comply with Dutch GAAP and IFRS;
Verifying and substantiating general ledger entries, balance sheet line items, and reporting data;
Analyzing variances, risks, and financial trends;
Translating financial information into clear insights for the Finance Manager and other stakeholders;
Identifying and implementing improvements in financial processes, internal controls, and systems;
Assist with internal and external audits;
Providing guidance and instruction to other controllers on substantive issues;
Working with financial systems such as AFAS and Workday.
You’ll take on a leadership role within a rapidly evolving finance organization.
