The month is drawing to a close and the figures are starting to come in. You immediately see where adjustments need to be made and ensure everything is correct before the reporting goes to the group controller. In the meantime, you reconcile outstanding items, prepare the VAT return, and stay in contact with the accountant. Organization

You will be working at the Labour Power Company, based at our headquarters in Etten-Leur. Labour Power Company is a group of enthusiastic and entrepreneurial labor market specialists. Our companies – all operating under their own brand name – are located throughout the Netherlands, with several recruitment offices abroad.

Within this organization, the finance department plays a crucial role in managing the numbers. The work environment is professional and centered on collaboration. Communication lines are short, and there is extensive contact with various internal and external stakeholders.

Function

As a Financial Controller, you are responsible for a wide range of financial activities. You ensure the smooth execution of month-end and year-end closings and prepare reports that provide insight into the financial situation.

In addition, you will work on the annual financial statements and maintain contact with accountants during checks and audits. You will be involved in tax obligations such as VAT and corporate income tax returns, ensuring they are carried out correctly and on time. You will also monitor outstanding items and provide information on these to the business.

With your analytical eye and structured approach, you identify discrepancies and ensure the financial administration is continuously in order. You know exactly where attention is needed and quickly liaise with the right people inside and outside the organization.

Job Requirements

What is expected of you?

• Experience in a similar role as Financial Controller
• Strong knowledge of financial administration and reporting
• Experience with monthly and year-end closings
• You have strong communication skills and can easily connect with various stakeholders.
• You work accurately and have strong analytical thinking skills.
• Good command of the Dutch language
