Job summary

Penta Infra in Amsterdam is seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to manage day-to-day financial administration for multiple entities and help professionalize our finance function in a fast-growing data center business.

The role works closely with Business Controllers, Finance Operations and Auditors, requires a HBO/MBO+ degree, 5–10 years of relevant experience, and fluency in Dutch and English; candidates with German are a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 5–10 years of relevant experience in financial accounting.
• Fluent in Dutch and English; German a plus.
• Experience with multi-entity setups and collaboration with auditors.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and reconcile general ledgers for multiple entities;
• Prepare and process monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing entries;
• Support the preparation of statutory accounts and coordinate with external auditors;
• Track and manage fixed assets and related CapEx accounting;
• Ensure tax and VAT reporting compliance in cooperation with external advisors;
• Participate in process improvements and strengthen internal financial controls;
• Work cross-functionally with AP, FP&A, and business stakeholders to ensure data accuracy and alignment;
• Support external and internal financial audits.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

As a Senior Financial Accountant, you will be responsible for the day-to-day financial administration of several legal entities, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting. You’ll work closely with Business Controllers, Finance Operations and the Finance Director. Together you will contribute to a professional and scalable finance function. In our rapidly growing environment, you will have many opportunities and responsibilities.

Some of your key responsibilities include:

• Maintain and reconcile general ledgers for multiple entities;

You will work in a dynamic, collaborative and experienced finance team. Our scale-up environment ensures short communication lines with other departments, providing plenty of opportunities for learning and growth. Regular site visits, training sessions and an introduction program will get you up to speed in the organization and the data center industry.

We also value team spirit and regularly end the week with a Friday afternoon drink on our rooftop terrace (weather permitting).

WHO ARE YOU?

To get started as a Senior Financial Accountant at Penta Infra, you should:

• have a bachelor’s degree (HBO/MBO+) in accounting, finance or related field;


• have 5-10 years of relevant experience in in a similar position with financial accounting in the high tech / critical infrastructure market;


• are fluent in Dutch and English, pre German;


• are accurate, analytical, and structured in your work;


• are comfortable working in a multi-entity, international environment;


• are available for 40 hours per week;


• are comfortable working in a multi-entity, international environment;


• thrive in a scale-up setting where flexibility and growth go hand-in-hand.
