EMEA Recruitment is partnering with a mature aerospace/defence scale-up to appoint an entrepreneurial Senior Finance Manager in Amsterdam. You will work with the CFO to scale the group finance function across Europe, handling IFRS consolidation, group reporting and internal controls.

Hybrid working in Amsterdam with European travel. The role covers financial control, audits, and finance integration for acquisitions, shaping scalable processes, ERP changes and investor reporting.

Qualifications

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related field.
• ACA/ACCA qualification highly desirable.
• Big Four experience is desirable and beneficial.

We are working with an ambitious, well-funded, mature scale-up in the Aerospace and Defence industry, with a vision to build a leading European industrial group through innovation, organic growth and acquisitions.

This is a rare opportunity to join the business at an exciting time and stage of development and help build its finance function as it expands across Europe.

We are seeking an entrepreneurial, hands‑on Senior Finance Manager to work closely with the CFO and help scale and develop the group finance function.

This broad role combines financial control, group reporting, IFRS consolidation and M&A integration, offering the opportunity to establish scalable processes, systems and controls to support continued international growth.

Location: Amsterdam, the Netherlands

Key Responsibilities of the Senior Manager Finance:

• Own and strengthen financial control processes, accounting policies and procedures
• Lead group reporting and consolidation under IFRS across multiple legal entities
• Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial information.
• Develop internal controls, governance frameworks and management reporting
• Act as the main point of contact for group and statutory auditors

M&A and Integration

• Support the financial aspects of acquisitions and due diligence
• Lead or support the financial integration of acquired businesses
• Establish consistent reporting, accounting and control processes across the group
• Collaborate with local finance team & leaders to ensure smooth integration

Finance Operations & Systems

• Help build and develop the internal finance function
• Improve finance processes, systems and operational efficiency
• Support ERP implementations and optimization
• Manage external accounting providers and support the transition of activities in-house
• Build scalable finance infrastructure to support growth

Stakeholder Management

• Work closely with the CFO on financial control, reporting and strategic initiatives
• Collaborate with finance stakeholders across multiple countries and legal entities
• Support centralized finance activities, including treasury, group reporting and investor reporting

Candidate Profile:

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or a related field
• A recognized accounting qualification (e.g. ACA, ACCA or equivalent) is highly desirable
• Big Four experience is highly desirable
• Experience in industrial/manufacturing sectors
• Significant experience in financial control, group finance or management accounting
• Strong technical accounting knowledge, particularly IFRS and group consolidation
• Experience working in an international, multi-entity environment
• Exposure to M&A and post-acquisition integration
• Experience improving finance processes, controls, reporting and systems
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and a pragmatic, hands-on approach
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Proactive, adaptable and comfortable working in a growing scale-up environment
• Fluency in English is essential. Other languages are a strong plus
• Willingness and ability to travel across Europe, including periodic on-site work with acquired companies
