Job summary

SBM Offshore is seeking a Senior Project Engineer - EX Lead in Rotterdam to oversee and coordinate all technical and administrative Ex-related activities on complex oil and gas projects. You will lead multi-discipline teams to ensure compliance, safety, and timely delivery within budget.

With a minimum of 10 years’ experience, you will manage Ex matrices, dashboards, and coordination with Area Project Managers and procurement teams to secure supplier conformance and contract alignment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in project engineering within oil and gas.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Ex compliance activities throughout the project.
• Coordinate Ex compliance across Engineering, Supply Chain and Construction.
• Manage Ex project matrices, dashboards, and assurance plans.
• Ensure Ex requirements are integrated in subcontractor contracts and vendor documents.
• Lead interfaces between disciplines and project phases regarding Ex compliance.
