Job summary

Charles River Laboratories, Inc. is seeking a (Senior) Regulatory Environmental Fate Specialist in Den Bosch (NL) to apply environmental fate expertise within EU regulatory frameworks.

This role involves modelling, dossier preparation, and close collaboration with regulatory teams and clients across an international team. You will work on complex projects, interpret environmental fate data, and stay abreast of regulatory developments.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in environmental chemistry/toxicology/biology or related field.
• Strong knowledge of at least one regulatory framework (EU agrochemicals)
• 3+ years of experience with environmental fate in a regulated context
• Hands-on experience with environmental fate modelling and model interpretation
• Good command of English; Dutch/German/French desired but not required

Responsibilities

• Critically evaluate environmental fate studies for active substances and metabolites.
• Perform environmental fate modelling using packages (FOCUS, GEM, PEARL, PELMO, MACRO, EUSES).
• Compile environmental fate sections in dossiers for agrochemicals, biocides, or industrial chemicals.
• Provide data gap analysis and advise on testing strategies for clients.
• Collaborate with regulatory team members, study directors, sales and clients.
