Senior Employee Relations Partner – EMEA (Contractor)

Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior Employee Relations Partner – EMEA to provide expert support across the EMEA region on complex, high-risk and sensitive Employee Relations (ER) matters.
The successful candidate will work as part of the Global Employee Relations team and partner closely with HR Business Partners (HRBPs), Employment Legal, functional leaders, employee representatives and other stakeholders to deliver sound and consistent ER outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage complex Employee Relations casework, investigations and operational escalations across the EMEA region.
- Advise leaders and HRBPs on performance management, grievances, disciplinary actions and other sensitive employee matters.
- Manage multiple ER cases in parallel, including complex and sensitive investigations across multiple EMEA countries.
- Build effective partnerships across the Global ER team and throughout the EMEA region.
- Establish and maintain clear intake, governance and operating processes for Employee Relations and Works Council matters.
- Support EMEA-specific Employee Relations projects and initiatives, including Works Council matters.
- Support the Global Employee Relations team with the development and implementation of global ER initiatives and cases.
- Develop and deliver EMEA Employee Relations training for managers, including:
- Effective performance management
- Navigating difficult situations and conversations
- Labour and employment law compliance
- Use Employee Relations data and trends to identify potential issues and provide preventative training and process improvements.
- Develop and implement ER practices, guidelines and regulations to support compliance with employment laws, internal policies and procedures.
Required Experience & Skills
- 6+ years of Employee Relations / HR experience, with substantial experience across EMEA.
- Extensive experience managing complex Employee Relations cases and investigations across multiple countries.
- Proven ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously, including high-risk, sensitive and confidential matters.
- Strong knowledge of employment law and Employee Relations practices across EMEA.
- Practical experience with Works Councils and country-specific employee consultation requirements.
- Experience developing and implementing ER practices, guidelines, processes and regulations.
- Strong understanding of employment policies, procedures and compliance requirements.

Ideal Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will be an experienced EMEA Employee Relations professional who is comfortable operating across multiple countries and handling complex, sensitive and high-risk employee matters. They should be confident advising senior leaders and HRBPs, working alongside Employment Legal, engaging with employee representatives and Works Councils, and translating employment-law requirements into practical ER solutions.
Important: Contractors should currently be advised that the role is expected to require 2–3 days per week on-site in Amsterdam, pending final confirmation from the client.
