Job summary

Optics11 is hiring a Senior Embedded Software Test Engineer to own the embedded software system-test capability for sensing interrogator platforms. You will define, automate, and improve HIL and box-level tests to qualify software/firmware releases on representative hardware before verification and field deployment.

You will work on embedded Linux applications, firmware interfaces, and sensor interactions, building test frameworks, CI/CD integration, and release evidence to ensure repeatable,

Qualifications

• BSc or MSc in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Embedded Systems.
• Strong experience testing embedded products on physical hardware and integrated systems.
• Experience with automated test frameworks e.g., Pytest, Robot Framework, CI/CD tooling.

Responsibilities

• Own the interrogator/HIL test strategy and system-level regression suite.
• Translate requirements into test plans and automated regression tests.
• Design, build and maintain HIL test setups with hardware or simulated inputs.
• Develop Python-based test automation for device control and data analysis.
• Integrate hardware regression testing into CI/CD pipelines and QA processes.
