Job summary

Krush Labs in the Netherlands is seeking a Senior Embedded Software Test Engineer to ensure quality of firmware and hardware integration on STM32 and Raspberry Pi platforms. You will design test plans, maintain infrastructure, and work with software and hardware teams to reproduce issues.

You will implement automated regression tests, develop test benches, and contribute to release validation. A strong background in embedded testing, test design, and proficiency with Python or C++ is essential

Qualifications

• 10+ years of embedded software testing experience
• 5+ years with embedded systems
• Experience testing microcontrollers (e.g., STM32), SBCs (e.g., Raspberry Pi), and Linux
• Familiarity with CI/CD and automated regression testing
• Solid knowledge of test design techniques and traceability
• Experience with USB, UART, SPI, I2C protocols
• Networking knowledge (Ethernet) and wireless basics
• Hands-on with test automation using Python and/or C++
• Debugging firmware flashing processes and hardware interfaces
• Ability to reproduce issues from hardware/software interactions

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain test methodology and infrastructure for embedded products
• Select and maintain test frameworks; build test benches and hardware setups
• Execute test scenarios and provide reports for quality reviews
• Identify, reproduce, and document defects with steps
• Establish traceability between requirements, tests, and releases
• Define and run release validation and CI/CD regression tests
• Improve testability with better logging and instrumentation
• Collaborate with software and hardware teams across projects
