Job summary

ProMicro is seeking a Senior Electronics Engineer to join our innovative, young company in Eindhoven. You will work on high-end electronic applications for customers in the Netherlands and abroad, with room to design and develop your own ideas.

You will contribute across embedded, analog and power electronics, PCB layout and system engineering in a multidisciplinary team. Ownership and curiosity drive our approach to high-quality designs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master in electrical engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of work experience in a technical environment.
• Experience in system engineering, PCBA design, DFM/DFT, embedded systems, PCB layout.
• Ability to design and review electrical schematics and use electronics design software.
• Fluent in English; Dutch appreciated.

Responsibilities

• Develop electrical systems and components, including specification, design, and implementation.
• Perform analyses and tests to ensure performance and reliability.
• Resolve complex technical issues.
• Provide technical support to the engineering team.
• Support design choices with modeling and calculations/simulations.
• Document findings and reports in internal systems.
• Maintain, develop and share own expertise.
• Estimate and plan your own workload and monitor progress.

Your position

Your responsibilities are

• Develop electrical systems and components, including specification, design, and implementation;
• Perform analyzes and tests to ensure performance and reliability meet requirements;
• Resolve complex technical issues;
• Provide technical support to the engineering team;
• Support critical design choices with modeling and calculations/simulations;
• Document findings and reports into our internal systems;
• Recognize and resolve technical risks by reflecting them with the engineering team;
• Maintain, develop and share own expertise;
• Estimate and plan your own workload and monitor your progress.
• A Bachelor or Master degree in the field of electrical engineering or a related field;
• Preferably experience in topics such as system engineering, PCBA design, DFM/DFT, Embedded Systems, PCB layouting;
• At least 5+ years of work experience in a technical environment;
• Knowledge on how to design and review electrical schematics;
• Knowledge of electronics design software is nice to have (Altium, Zuken, Eagle, Mentor);
• In-depth knowledge of electrical systems and/or embedded systems;
• Eager to work in a multidisciplinary team;
• An open minded and out-of-the-box thinker;
• Technical and conceptual insight;
• Fluent in reading, writing and speaking English (Dutch is appreciated).
