Job summary

ALARA, based in Groot-Ammers, is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to oversee all electrical aspects within diverse projects. You engage at early stages, ensure quality and compliance, review designs, translate client specs into technical requirements, and guide external partners as a technical contact for clients and suppliers.

You will contribute to standardization, develop electrical standards and documentation to improve consistency and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree level (HBO) in thinking and working
• Extensive experience in project-based environments
• Strong command of Dutch and English, both written and spoken

Responsibilities

• Review electrical designs, schematics, and technical documentation
• Verify designs and installations against applicable standards and regulations
• Prepare and review technical specifications for ALARA, suppliers, and clients
• Draft RFQs and technically evaluate supplier quotations in collaboration with procurement
• Maintain close contact with clients and suppliers regarding technical decisions, requirements, and approvals
• Act as the technical lead within the electrical engineering domain
• Contribute to standardization within ALARA; develop and improve electrical standards, processes, and documentation

Your role as Senior Electrical Engineer

As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you are responsible for overseeing all electrical aspects within various projects. You are involved from an early stage in both new and ongoing projects and play a key role in ensuring quality, compliance with standards, and technical feasibility.

You review electrical designs at a high level, translate client specifications into clear technical requirements, and ensure that solutions comply with applicable standards and regulations. Drafting work is outsourced; you review the submitted schematics and documentation and provide technical direction to external engineering partners. In doing so, you act as a technical point of contact for clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.

In addition, you contribute to standardization within ALARA. You help develop and improve electrical standards, processes, and documentation to ensure projects are executed more consistently, efficiently, and at a high quality level.

In this role, you combine technical expertise with project responsibility and stakeholder management. You report to the Manager Engineering and work closely with lead engineers from other disciplines.

Your profile

• Bachelor’s degree level (HBO) in thinking and working
• Extensive experience in project-based environments
• Strong technical expertise in electrical installations, enabling you to engage in in-depth discussions on complex technical matters with clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders
• Ability to elevate technical quality standards and establish consistent ways of working within ALARA
• Strong command of Dutch and English, both written and spoken
