Johnson & Johnson is seeking a Senior Director Operations Biotherapeutics in Leiden, Netherlands. You will lead one of Johnson & Johnson’s largest biotherapeutics manufacturing organizations, overseeing drug substance operations from shop floor to long-term site strategy.

With ~1,000 colleagues, you’ll ensure safety, quality, reliability and cost targets are met, while preparing the site for the future and strengthening teams across upstream, downstream, warehousing, and services.

Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years of experience in biopharmaceutical manufacturing or similar regulated setting.
• Significant leadership in large molecule or biotherapeutics operations.
• Lean principles, operational excellence, and continuous improvement experience.
• Fluent English; Dutch knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead Operations performance and set clear priorities for the site.
• Manage manufacturing flow across departments and drive end-to-end problem solving.
• Oversee site transformation, lean initiatives, and adoption of value-adding tech.
• Ensure safety, quality, regulatory compliance, and cost discipline.
• Build leadership teams, develop talent, and drive an inclusive Credo culture.
