Job summary

CloudPlusPlus is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to own the design, management, and optimization of scalable, reliable cloud infrastructure for a fast-growing SaaS platform. You will lead a team, drive automation, and ensure billions of tracking requests per day are processed with high availability.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Design, manage, and optimize cloud infrastructure to ensure scalability, reliability, security, and performance.

This role is suited to a senior engineer who thrives in a fast-growing SaaS environment, enjoys solving complex infrastructure challenges, and can lead technical initiatives to support high-volume data processing at scale. You will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, availability, and performance of systems handling billions of tracking requests per day worldwide. You will work across cloud infrastructure, servers, networks, containers, databases, monitoring, and system architecture, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing scalable solutions. The ideal candidate is an independent, analytical, and pragmatic engineer who can lead a team, drive infrastructure improvements, maximize uptime, and make sound technical decisions while collaborating closely with developers and other stakeholders.

Requirements and skills

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related technical field.


• Extensive hands-on experience in a similar DevOps, infrastructure engineering, or cloud engineering role, preferably within a SaaS or data-driven organization.


• In-depth knowledge of modern DevOps tooling, infrastructure management, and automation.


• Practical experience with Kubernetes; this is considered a must


• Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Sentry, Grafana, or Loki.


• Strong understanding of server infrastructure, networking, containers, databases, and distributed systems.


• Experience designing and maintaining highly available, scalable, and resilient production environments.


• Knowledge of infrastructure security, redundancy, disaster recovery, and business continuity practices.


• Experience identifying infrastructure bottlenecks, troubleshooting complex production issues, and optimizing system performance.


• Proven ability to take ownership of technical projects, work independently, and make sound engineering decisions.


• Experience leading a team or providing technical leadership in an infrastructure or DevOps environment.


• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

Additional information

• Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) certification, or a willingness to obtain one.


• Experience scaling high-throughput systems and distributed infrastructure for substantial request volumes.


• Experience with cloud-native architectures, container orchestration, and infrastructure automation.


• Experience designing monitoring systems, defining service reliability objectives, and improving incident response.


• Experience working with external cloud providers and resolving infrastructure capacity constraints.


• Previous experience in a senior or team lead position within a growing SaaS or technology company.
