Job summary

Red Hat Consulting Services seeks a Senior Architect to join the Netherlands team. You will work on-site with customers, defining architecture, leading deployment of Red Hat technologies, and advising on reliability, scalability, and high-availability strategies.

You will collaborate with a cross-functional team, stay updated on new technologies, and travel as project needs require, delivering strategic value and enterprise-wide solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience and/or industry recognised certifications (RH certifications)
• 5+ years experience in a consulting role or similar
• Experience or knowledge of infrastructure and cloud technologies - e.g. enterprise use of virtualization or containers
• Foundational awareness of modern application development practices and the software delivery life cycle
• Good customer-facing skills; ability to present to customers and guide customer interactions
• Knowledge of Red Hat infrastructure solutions (Satellite, Virtualization, Ansible Platform/Tower, OpenStack, OpenShift) or comparable tech (K8/Chef/Puppet)
• RHCA/RHCE certification a plus or willingness to gain early in career
• Willingness to travel according to project needs
• Excellent communication in English; Dutch strongly preferred / EU citizenship

Responsibilities

• Upskill knowledge in Red Hat technologies using Red Hat University and support from the wider consulting team to apply these concepts to customer needs
• Serve as a subject matter expert at the customer site, addressing technical, developmental, or strategic IT needs
• Manage problem identification, system architecture definition, software specification and design, testing, and deployment of open source solutions
• Learn about new technologies and apply these concepts to customer needs
• Adapt to changing customer requirements
• Respond to incidents, escalations, and exceptions in a professional manner
