Job summary

i3D.net is seeking a Senior Database Reliability Engineer to own the availability, performance, and reliability of our PostgreSQL and MariaDB platforms across our global infrastructure. You’ll design, build, and operate highly available database platforms, automate operations with IaC, and drive CI/CD integration to support reliable deployments.

You’ll work across Linux, Kubernetes, and platform automation, focusing on observability and security.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience managing production database platforms (MariaDB, PostgreSQL) with uptime, performance and data integrity in mind.
• Experience operating Linux systems in on-premise or hybrid environments.
• Experience with IaC and automation to reduce manual work.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate highly available database platforms across multiple environments.
• Manage multi-environment database clusters, including replication, failover, backups, and performance tuning.
• Automate database provisioning, configuration, upgrades, and maintenance using IaC and CI/CD pipelines.
• Own Linux systems running database workloads and perform day-to-day operations and tuning.
• Implement monitoring and observability using Prometheus, Grafana, and related tooling.
• Collaborate with platform, DevOps, and application teams to improve tooling and incident handling.
