Job summary

ITProposal is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design and optimize data landscapes across Oracle platforms. You will lead governance, data modelling, and migration efforts in hybrid and cloud environments.

Responsibilities include documenting data flows, setting up metadata repositories, and advising stakeholders on compliance (AVG, GDPR, BIO). Strong Oracle expertise and Dutch fluency are essential for success.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of experience as a Senior Data Engineer.
• Fluent in Dutch (speaking, reading, writing).
• Strong hands‑on experience with Oracle DBMS (SQL, PL/SQL, Data Dictionary).
• Expertise in data modelling (conceptual, logical, physical).
• Experience with reverse engineering tools (Oracle SQL Developer Data Modeler).
• ETL/ELT experience (Informatica, Talend, DBT).
• Strong knowledge of data governance, data management, and data architecture.

Responsibilities

• Inventory & Documentation: Map systems and databases; document data flows and metadata repository.
• Reverse Engineering & Data Modelling: Analyze Oracle schemas; design data models and document reference data.
• Data Profiling & Quality: Profile source data; produce quality reports and suggest clean‑ups.
• Governance, Privacy & Compliance: Design governance models; classify data; define retention and anonymization.
• Migration & Integration: Define migration strategies; support API‑driven integration and ETL/ELT design.
• Architecture & Innovation: Advise on Data Vault/Dimensional Modelling; cloud migrations and data lakehouse.
