Job summary

YorTeam B.V. seeks a Cloud Data Engineer to join a banking-industry client in the Netherlands. You will build and maintain reliable data solutions and ensure data is available for multiple teams across the organization.

In this role you will work with Azure, Databricks, Python, SQL, Power BI and data modelling to transform datasets into scalable data solutions. Hybrid work in the Utrecht area and collaboration within a large financial organisation are offered.

Qualifications

• Hands-on Cloud Data Engineer experience in data-focused roles.
• Strong knowledge of Azure and Databricks.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Experience with Apache Airflow and data pipelines.
• Experience with Azure DevOps and CI/CD.
• Solid data modelling knowledge including Data Vault and dimensional modelling.
• Experience with Power BI, Power Platform, DAX and cubes.
• Strong data analysis and ability to visualize correlations.
• Experience with PowerShell is a plus.
• Fluent English and good teamwork in Agile environments.

Job description

We are looking for a Cloud Data Engineer for a client in the banking industry in the Netherlands. In this role, you will help build and maintain reliable data solutions, ensuring that important data is available and accessible to multiple teams across the organization.

You will work across Azure, Databricks, Python, SQL, Power BI and data modelling, combining data from multiple sources and transforming existing datasets into scalable and usable data solutions.

Your Job

• Building and maintaining cloud-based data solutions within an Azure environment
• Combining data from multiple sources and integrating existing datasets
• Developing and maintaining data pipelines and workflows using Apache Airflow
• Working with Databricks to process, transform and make data available to other squads
• Designing and implementing data models using Data Vault and dimensional modelling
• Developing and optimizing solutions using Python and SQL
• Building and deploying solutions through Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines
• Working with Power BI, Power Platform, DAX and data cubes
• Analyzing data and identifying and visualizing correlations and patterns
• Collaborating with other engineers, analysts, and multidisciplinary teams in an Agile environment

Your Profile

• Strong experience as a Cloud Data Engineer, Data Engineer or in a comparable data-focused role
• Hands-on experience with Azure and Databricks
• Strong knowledge of Python and SQL
• Experience with Apache Airflow and data pipeline development
• Experience with Azure DevOps and CI/CD
• Strong understanding of data modelling, including Data Vault and dimensional modelling
• Experience with Power BI, Power Platform, DAX and creating cubes
• Strong understanding of data analysis, including identifying and visualizing correlations
• Experience with PowerShell is an advantage
• Comfortable working in an Agile environment and collaborating with multiple squads
• Fluent in English and a strong team player
