Job summary

ABN AMRO Bank seeks an IT Engineer for the Financial Economic Crime (FEC) Transaction monitoring domain. You will strengthen the reliability and security of in-house applications that detect AML/TF risks, collaborating with Agile teams to improve data flows.

You will work with Compliance, Operations, Data and Technology teams to enhance monitoring capabilities, optimize detection scenarios, and support regulatory reporting.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer.
• Hands-on experience with PySpark, Azure Databricks and Azure Data Factory.
• Experience with PL/SQL and relational databases.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
• DevOps practices including CI/CD and automated deployments.
• Familiarity with ITIL and IT service management.
• Proficiency in English and strong stakeholder communication.
• Knowledge of Financial Economic Crime (FEC) and transaction monitoring is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Transaction Monitoring systems identify, assess, and generate alerts for suspicious activity.
• Collaborate with Compliance, Operations, Data and Technology to improve monitoring capabilities.
• Maintain and enhance data flows and detection logic; support regulatory reporting.
