Job summary

FairPlay Engineering BV in the Amsterdam area seeks a Senior Project Engineer to own technical content, coordination, and alignment on complex data centre projects. You translate sales handover into a robust execution plan and guide stakeholders to ensure requirements are clearly defined and met.

You will review electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, P&IDs, and mechanical drawings, coordinate with Procurement, Engineering and Commissioning, and travel occasionally within the Netherlands or

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in a technical project-driven environment.
• Solid knowledge of low-voltage electrical systems; LV/MV experience is essential.
• Ability to read and understand P&IDs and/or single-line diagrams.
• Some knowledge of controls or automation.
• Knowledge of generator sets is considered a strong advantage.
• Strong technical English skills, both written and spoken.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to convince, advise, and align stakeholders.
• Systematic thinker with a passion for quality and delivering results.
• Willingness to occasionally visit project locations in the Netherlands and abroad.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical content, coordination, and alignment across the project.
• Translate sales handover into a clear, robust execution plan and work instructions.
• Review and challenge electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, P&IDs, and mechanical drawings.
• Define technical requests and specifications for emergency power systems.
• Coordinate with Procurement, Engineering and Commissioning to align interfaces and quality standards.
• Ensure smooth cooperation between disciplines and maintain project objectives.
• Occasionally visit project locations in the Netherlands or abroad for technical alignment.
