Job summary

STAR Specialists, based in the Netherlands, is seeking a Senior Cost Engineer to review and validate project cost estimation, budgeting, and financial planning. You will collaborate with project teams to provide cost-effective estimates aligned with the schedule and execution plan.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field and 5–10 years of cost engineering experience, with preference for construction or oil & gas sectors. Based in The Netherlands; employee only.

This role involves developing and controlling cost estimates, analyzing cost variances, and ensuring that projects are completed within approved budgets. The Cost Engineer collaborates with project managers, engineers, finance teams, and other stakeholders to provide financial insights and support effective decisionmaking.

Requirements

• Education
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Finance, or a related field. A professional certification (e.g., AACE, PMP, CCE) is a plus.
• Experience
• Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in cost engineering, project cost control, or a similar role. Experience in construction, engineering, oil & gas preferred.
