Job summary

A defense and aerospace services provider in The Hague is seeking a Core GIS System Engineer. This role involves providing critical support for NATO Core GIS systems, including incident management and technical expertise. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in IT enterprise infrastructure, be proficient in scripting languages like Python, and possess strong communication skills in English. Also required is a recognized university qualification in IT or a related field, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in IT enterprise infrastructure.
• Experience with customer interaction.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide 2nd and 3rd level support for NATO Core GIS.
• Assist with software changes and upgrades.
• Create installation documentation for Core GIS.

Skills

Multi-year hands on experience in IT enterprise infrastructure

Experience with VMWare virtual server implementation

Proficiency in Python or PowerShell

Strong communication skills in English

Education

Nationally recognized university qualification in IT or related discipline with 6 years experience

Alternative experience of at least 3 years in relevant duties
