Job summary

Atlas NextWave in the Netherlands is seeking a Senior Controller to shape decisions rather than just close books. Based in Amsterdam or Friesland, the role blends hands-on control with strategic oversight of budgets, AFEs, and JV accounting in a demanding offshore environment.

You will own budgets and forecasts, review decommissioning provisions, manage tax obligations, and contribute to audits and sector reporting while supporting a wider accounting team.

Qualifications

• Senior/Asset/Project Controller with Dutch upstream oil & gas experience.
• Experience with decommissioning, AFE-style capital control, and asset-heavy commercial complexity.
• Fluency in Dutch and English.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, consolidate, and challenge CAPEX, OPEX, and G&A budgets.
• Own AFEs from submission through review and participate in AFE meetings.
• Manage JV reporting, budget updates, and cost-recovery.
• Oversee profitability and cashflow reporting, tax accounting, and compliance.
• Support audits and sector reporting; drive process improvements.
