Job summary

SBM Offshore is seeking a Senior Contract Manager to lead contract management across project execution, alliance management, and purchasing strategies. You will oversee contract deliverables, strategies, and compliance to ensure commercially optimized outcomes.

Ideal candidates will have 10–15 years of experience in EPCI, subcontract management, and sales/lease contracts, with strong negotiation and risk management skills.

Qualifications

• Degree or MBA in business, law, construction law, engineering or quantity surveying.
• 10–15 years of contract management experience including claims, EPCI and subcontract management.
• Broad sales and lease contract experience and negotiation.
• Experience interfacing with project execution.

Responsibilities

• Manage and expedite contract deliverables and requirements.
• Coordinate contracting strategies including sub-contracts & Supply Chain.
• Monitor performance and compliance with contractual requirements and signatory powers.
• Ensure commercial awareness across the Project Team throughout the life of the project.
• Maintain total auditability of all commercial dealings, with clear record-keeping and reporting.
• Participate in Risk and Opportunities management.
• Provide Contract Feedback during the life of the project.
• Ensure warranty, claims and dispute support.

Purpose

• The Senior Contract Manager provides Contract Management support for project or unit execution across Supply Chain, Client focus and Subcontract to ensure a contractually compliant and a commercially optimised contract.

Responsibilities

• You manage and expedite contract deliverables and requirements.
• You support and coordinate the development of contracting strategies, including Sub-contracts & Supply Chain.
• You monitor performance and compliance with contractual requirements and signatory powers, expedite disciplines where necessary, and highlight potential areas of concern.
• You ensure commercial and contractual awareness across the Project Team throughout the life of the project.
• You achieve and maintain total auditability of all commercial and contractual dealings, including clear record-keeping and regular commercial reporting.
• You participate in and provide input to Risk and Opportunities management.
• You provide Contract Feedback during the life of the project.
• You ensure Guarantee period management.

Education

• Degree or MBA in one of the following disciplines (Business Management, Law, Construction Law, Engineering or Quantity Surveying).

Experience

• At least 10-15 years of experience covering all aspects contract management including Claims, EPCI, subcontract management.
• Broad experience in sales and lease contracts, in executing contract negotiation.
• Experience of project execution interface.
