Job summary

Kyndryl Nederland is seeking a Senior Contract Manager to own the integrity of defense IT contracts, both operationally and financially. You will act as the primary point of contact for contractual issues for the customer and Kyndryl, with senior-level access to management on both sides.

Based in the Netherlands, you will work on-site with the customer in Utrecht and at Kyndryl's Hoofddorp office, with partial remote work after onboarding.

Qualifications

• Extensive contract management experience, preferably with a large IT services provider or IT outsourcing.
• Demonstrated senior-level negotiation experience.
• Strong financial insight into the design and execution of contracts.
• Experience in a role with intensive customer contact.
• Structured and independent way of working, even when multiple tasks run concurrently.
• Excellent command of Excel and Word.
• Excellent command of Dutch, spoken and written.

Responsibilities

• Oversee contractual commitments and ensure compliance by Kyndryl and the customer.
• Manage all contract changes from initial request to formal documentation.
• Negotiate amendments with the procurement organization and the customer’s business units.
• Coordinate with Kyndryl's commercial team to ensure feasible, market-priced proposals.
• Collaborate closely with the RFS manager guiding new service requests.
• Maintain the financial linkage between agreements, delivery, and invoicing.
• Identify contractual risks and advise management with substantiated recommendations.

The Role

Kyndryl levert het Ministerie van Defensie IT‑diensten onder een van de omvangrijkste IT‑contracten van Nederland. Als Senior Contractmanager ben je eindverantwoordelijk voor de integriteit van dat contract, zowel operationeel als financieel. Je bent in dienst van Kyndryl en werkt voor onze klant Defensie. In deze functie ben je het aanspreekpunt voor alle contractuele vraagstukken, richting de klant en binnen Kyndryl. Je opereert op senior niveau, met directe toegang tot het management aan beide kanten.

Jouw verantwoordelijkheden

• Bewaken van de contractuele afspraken en toezien op naleving door Kyndryl en de klant.
• Regie voeren op alle contractwijzigingen, van de eerste aanvraag tot de formele vastlegging.
• Onderhandelen over wijzigingen met de inkooporganisatie en de business van de klant.
• Afstemmen met de commerciële organisatie van Kyndryl, zodat voorstellen haalbaar zijn en marktconform geprijsd.
• Nauw samenwerken met de RFS‑manager, die de aanvragen voor nieuwe diensten begeleidt.
• Grip houden op de financiële kant van het contract: de relatie tussen afspraken, levering en facturatie.
• Signaleren van contractuele risico's en het management tijdig en onderbouwd adviseren.

Wat wij vragen

• Ruime ervaring in contractmanagement, bij voorkeur bij een grote IT‑dienstverlener of in IT‑outsourcing.
• Aantoonbare onderhandelingservaring op senior niveau.
• Sterk financieel inzicht in de opbouw en uitvoering van contracten.
• Ervaring in een functie met intensief klantcontact.
• Een gestructureerde en zelfstandige manier van werken, ook wanneer veel zaken tegelijk spelen.
• Uitstekende beheersing van Excel en Word.
• Uitstekende beheersing van de Nederlandse taal, in woord en geschrift.

Pré's

• Ervaring met het aansturen van een team of het coördineren van werkzaamheden.
• Ervaring bij of met Defensie of een andere overheidsorganisatie, en bekendheid met de werkwijze daar.

Nationaliteit en screening

Voor deze functie is de Nederlandse nationaliteit vereist. Omdat je werkzaamheden verricht voor Defensie, doorloop je een screening door de Nederlandse overheid. Je start in de functie na een positieve uitkomst, de Verklaring van Geen Bezwaar (VGB).

Werklocatie

Je werkt op locatie bij de klant in Utrecht en op het kantoor van Kyndryl in Hoofddorp. Na de inwerkperiode is gedeeltelijk thuiswerken mogelijk, in overleg met je leidinggevende.
