Job summary

4most is recruiting a Senior Consultant Risk Advisory (Banking) to join our Amsterdam team. You’ll work on advisory projects for banks of varying sizes, developing and validating credit risk and pricing models, and addressing ESG integration in data and risk processes.

You’ll collaborate with fellow 4most-ers and client teams, translate regulatory expectations into practical solutions, and contribute to business development through client events and workshops.

Qualifications

• University degree in Econometrics, Mathematics, Physics, Quantitative Finance or comparable subject.
• 4+ years' experience in risk, analytics or data science for banks (ECB/DNB experience a plus).
• Hands-on experience with development, validation and implementation of A-IRB, IFRS 9 or Stress Testing models.
• Proficient data processing and analysis of large datasets using Python, PySpark, SAS, SQL or R; Databricks a plus.
• Understanding of European prudential regulation and supervision in banks in Europe.
• Strong communication skills in English (Dutch preferred).
• Passion for business impact of analysis and attention to detail.

What You’ll Do

As a Senior Consultant Risk Advisory (Banking) at 4most, you’ll work on advisory projects at banks, ranging from large global banks to regional banks and lenders. You will learn from, and work together with, other 4most-ers and client teams on projects. Tasks could include the following, based on your expertise, experience and interest:

• Developing (credit) risk and pricing models, used for regulatory and business purposes
• Validating and challenging these models on areas such as model design, model performance and model implementation
• Stress testing exercises, ranging from operational execution to model development and validation
• Processing large (credit) risk datasets and assessing or improving data quality
• Integration of ESG across data, models (A-IRB, IFRS 9, stress testing) and risk processes.
• Interpretation and implementation of regulatory requirements and supervisory expectations
• Remediation of supervisory findings (ECB/DNB)
• Presenting and discussing results with (senior) management.
• Ad-hoc assistance on business development activities, e.g. client events / roundtables, client meetings, workshops, pitching, drafting proposals and creating marketing material.

Your background

• You have a university degree in Econometrics, Mathematics, Physics, Quantitative Finance or comparable subject.
• You bring 4+ years' experience in risk, analytics or data science for banks, obtained by working for a bank, consulting firm or regulatory body (ECB / DNB). Experience in integration of ESG within data, risk of models is an advantage.
• You have technical experience on financial risk management and hands on experience in development, validation and implementation of A-IRB, IFRS 9 or Stress Testing models.
• You are experienced with data processing and analysing (large) datasets using Python, Pyspark, SAS, SQL or R. Hands-on experience with Databricks is a plus.
• You understand European (prudential) regulation and supervision at banks in Europe.
• You are a strong communicator both verbally and written, with the ability to break down complex topics into simple solutions and ideas.
• You have a good command of the English language, and preferably Dutch.
• You are passionate about the business impact of analysis, driven by continuous improvement and attention to detail.

• Monthly salary ranging from EUR 5,160 to EUR 6,450 (includes 8% holiday pay) based on experience
