Job summary

FTI Consulting is seeking a driven professional to join its Restructuring practice in Amsterdam. You will support delivery of restructuring advisory or self-directed Business Reviews, assisting with analysis, viability assessments, and strategic planning for a diverse client base.

You will liaise with clients, prepare presentations, mentor juniors, and contribute to market intelligence efforts while expanding your professional network through events and client engagements.

Qualifications

• Solid experience in restructuring, corporate finance or a tier one consultancy firm.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• Professional in English and/or Dutch is required.
• Master's degree or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with the delivery of core offering either restructuring advisory or performing self-directed Business Reviews (IBRs).
• Assisting in assessing the fundamental drivers of the business, and the reasons for variances and underperformance.
• Assisting in establishing the viability and optimal strategy of a business.
• Performing complex data studies and interpreting results.
• Assisting in putting together restructuring plans (also via WHOA).
• Liaising with clients directly; and
• Communicating findings, written or orally.
• Assisting with the development of the business through research into potential opportunities and processing market intelligence opportunities.
• Preparing pitch presentations.
• Mentoring of juniors and sharing best practices to assist in their development.
• Building your personal and professional network by attending events.

About The Role

In our Restructuring practice, we support companies facing challenging financial circumstances with a motivated, experienced and hands-on team. We are there to help our customers when it really matters and the sense of urgency is high. For example with an IBR, turnaround advisory or complete restructuring support, both from a financial and an operational perspective. We work for a broad range of clients; banks, debt funds, private equity and corporates. We make a difference with our pragmatic approach and a team of experienced entrepreneurial professionals.

Basic Qualifications
