Job summary

FTI Consulting in Amsterdam seeks a proactive professional to support restructuring advisory and IBR work for major clients. You will analyze financial drivers, participate in strategy development and help prepare restructuring plans with senior colleagues.

The role offers exposure to banks, private equity and corporates, with opportunities to mentor juniors and grow within an international firm.

Qualifications

• Solid experience in restructuring, corporate finance or a tier one consultancy firm.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• Professional in English and/or Dutch is required.
• Master’s degree or equivalent (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Assisting with the delivery of restructuring advisory or IBRs (self-directed).
• Assessing fundamental drivers of the business and reasons for variances.
• Performing data studies and interpreting results for restructuring plans.
• Developing restructuring plans (including WHOA).

About The Role

In our Restructuring practice, we support companies facing challenging financial circumstances with a motivated, experienced and hands-on team. We are there to help our customers when it really matters and the sense of urgency is high. For example with an IBR, turnaround advisory or complete restructuring support, both from a financial and an operational perspective. We work for a broad range of clients; banks, debt funds, private equity and corporates. We make a difference with our pragmatic approach and a team of experienced entrepreneurial professionals. What You’ll Do

Assisting with the delivery of our core offering either restructuring advisory or performing self-directed Business Reviews ("IBRs"). This will include:

• Assisting in the assessment the fundamental drivers of the business, and the reasons for variances and underperformance
• Assisting in establishing the viability and optimal strategy of a business
• Performing complex data studies and interpretating results
• Assisting in putting together restructuring plans (also via WHOA)
• Liaising with clients directly; and
• Communicating findings, written or orally
• Assisting with the development of the business through:
• Conducting research into potential opportunities and processing market intelligence opportunities
• Preparing pitch presentations
• Mentoring of juniors and sharing best practices to assist in their development
• Building your personal and professional network by attending events

International travel will be required as part of this position

Basic Qualifications
