Job description

Job Description & Summary

Our Deals (M&A) business is an exciting and ever‑growing business that focuses on deals and crisis situations for our clients. Collectively, we deal with the types of situations you hear about regularly in the news and we provide support, insight and analysis to the management, shareholders and financiers of businesses. We are looking for talented and innovative professionals who want to become top advisors within our financial due diligence practice. The position offers the opportunity to gain experience in the financial and operational aspects of mergers, acquisitions, IPOs and (re)financing processes.

This Is What You’ll Do

You help clients looking to buy a business, sell all or part of their business, refinance or list on stock exchanges through Initial Public Offerings (IPOs). Your work helps buyers or sellers understand what makes a transaction successful. You thoroughly assess a target company’s finances, consider the opportunities and risks, and identify potential deal issues. You also work with vendors; independently assessing businesses so that potential buyers can make informed decisions.

You will have the opportunity to work on both strategic and private equity transactions that are high‑profile, varied and challenging. Advising throughout the deal cycle, you’ll see both the buy and sell side of the work, develop specialist sector understanding and gain key skills in financial due diligence. Furthermore;

  • You work on high profile transactions that are in the news every day. You support strategic and financial parties (such as private equity parties) in evaluating their takeover candidates or preparing the sale of companies or business units;
  • Together with your project team, you collect and analyse financial and commercial data, you create analyses and reports and discuss your findings with colleagues and clients;
  • The due diligence is performed on the client’s premises or at the office via a virtual data room. You are regularly present at management presentations, expert sessions and customer meetings;
  • The actual report comprises analyses of the financial track record and projected performance of a target company and identifies the key risks and opportunities;
  • You are part of a leading (inter)national Deals practice where innovation is central.
You Recognize Yourself in This
  • You completed pre‑university education and obtained a financial, economic, business or technical master’s degree;
  • You have at least two years of (relevant) working experience;
  • You are outgoing, results‑driven and highly motivated to continue learning;
  • You are interested in and want to learn more about mergers and acquisitions;
  • You know how to make an impact, have strong analytical skills and are curious;
  • You have excellent skills in Dutch and English (both oral and written).
What We Offer
  • A competitive salary based on your experience, an annual bonus (depending on results and personal development), and the opportunity to grow;
  • A motivating work environment where collaboration with ambitious colleagues and recognition for your contributions are central;
  • A wide range of tailored training via our AI‑based Growth Center, linked to skills and goals and focused on professional growth and leadership development;
  • Choose the mobility option that suits you best: an electric lease car or a mobility allowance for your business travel costs, plus access to various mobility providers via one convenient app;
  • 30 vacation days and the option to purchase additional days;
  • At PwC, your well‑being is our priority. That’s why we offer a personal well‑being budget to help you grow in physical and mental health, as well as access to the well‑being platform OpenUp;
  • You’ll work on challenging and meaningful client projects, use cutting‑edge technology such as AI‑tools, learn from the best, and receive support through coaching. Together, we work as an inclusive team to make a real impact;
  • A fully equipped home office and a monthly net expense allowance for internet and other costs;
  • YoungPwC: You’ll have the chance to network and exchange knowledge. The experience and tips from colleagues will greatly benefit you as a young PwC professional and help you achieve your ambitions;
  • Possibility to participate in projects of communities such as I&D, art initiatives, Giving Back etc;
  • Fun extras such as various informal company and team activities.
