Chubb in the Netherlands is seeking a dynamic Lead Underwriter Construction to drive growth and manage complex risks. You will align with the Benelux Underwriting Manager and lead a senior team in delivering sustainable profitability in a challenging market.

The role requires deep knowledge of the Dutch Construction market and strong underwriting, relationship management and strategic capabilities to serve major accounts and brokers effectively.

Qualifications

• Significant underwriting experience in technical insurances.
• Background in construction design, engineering or execution.
• Proven track record of meeting targets and revenue growth.
• Tech-savvy with understanding of technology's role in business.
• Excellent verbal and written communication in Dutch and English.
• Customer-focused mindset.
• Strategic thinker with market trend analysis.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite Construction risks and prepare acceptance documents.
• Take lead position as senior team member.
• Quality management through acceptance assessments and peer reviews.
• Contribute to underwriting strategy, forecasting and portfolio management.
• Develop and underwrite multiline products meeting market needs.
• Maintain relationships with key clients and brokers.
• Drive growth and profitability.
• Provide excellent service to brokers and insured; collaborate with Operations & Client Relationship Managers.
• Support and develop other underwriters in the team.
