Job summary

LyondellBasell Industries in Rotterdam seeks a Senior Manager, Communications EMEI to lead strategic communications across Europe, the Middle East and other regions as needed, shaping integrated strategies that protect reputation and support business priorities.

You will provide senior counsel to leaders on external, government relations and employee communications, ensure crisis readiness, and drive stakeholder engagement across the region.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in journalism, communications, public relations, or related field – or the equivalent in experience.
• Minimum of 10 years of communications experience, with strong writing, verbal and presentation skills.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience managing communications professionals.
• Experience in external communications, stakeholder engagement, employee communications, issues management and government relations communications is required.
• Languages English required, Dutch preferred; additional languages a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead integrated communications strategies across Europe, the Middle East and other regions as needed, aligning enterprise priorities and protecting reputation.
• Serve as a senior communications advisor on strategic projects and high-impact business initiatives across the region.
• Lead External Communications, Government Relations and Employee Communications across the region, with focus on Europe.
• Provide strategic counsel to leaders on stakeholder engagement and crisis readiness.
• Oversee team programs and processes to standardize service levels and develop direct reports.
