Job summary

Doghouse Recruitment is helping a business-critical IT services client recruit a Cloud Security Engineer to own Azure security from identity to egress within regulated environments. You will implement guardrails as code with Terraform and Azure DevOps, manage Entra ID, Defender for Cloud, and KQL tuning, and work in a hybrid Amsterdam-based setup.

You'll join a senior team shaping security in a greenfield-ish, mission-critical environment, with a competitive package including a lease car

Qualifications

• 6+ years in Azure infrastructure or cloud engineering with security focus.
• Entra ID at depth: Conditional Access, Privileged Identity Management, role based access control, identity governance.
• Sentinel and Defender for Cloud, with your own KQL rather than the built in rules.
• Terraform and Azure DevOps pipelines, plus PowerShell, and ideally Ansible
• Supply chain security and vulnerability management, or a strong interest in taking that on
• Comfortable working inside regulated environments such as DORA, NIS and ISO, fluent English; Dutch a plus

Responsibilities

• Secure a live Azure platform from identity to egress rules.
• Implement guardrails as code through Terraform and Azure DevOps.
• Tune KQL; manage Defender for Cloud posture and Sentinel detections.
• Address supply chain security and vulnerability management.
• Collaborate in regulated environments and align with ISO/DORA/NIS requirements.
