Job summary

Luscii is seeking a Senior Cloud Platform Engineer to modernise and scale our AWS-based platform powering OMRON Connect. You will drive IaC with Terraform, build reusable infrastructure and champion observability for reliable deployments.

You’ll work with backend engineers and product teams across the globe, uphold security and cost best practices, and help evolve a live healthcare platform within a Holacratic, remote-first culture.

Qualifications

• 6+ years building and operating large-scale cloud platforms.
• Deep hands-on AWS expertise and senior ownership of cloud architectures.
• Extensive Terraform IaC experience.
• Experience with cloud-native, serverless, and event-driven architectures.
• Strong backend experience, preferably Node.js and TypeScript.
• Fluent English; comfortable in a Holacratic organization.
• Focus on observability, automated deployments and safe release practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and evolve our AWS platform using Terraform as the single source of truth, while driving the gradual modernisation of our cloud landscape.
• Build reusable infrastructure, deployment pipelines and platform tooling that enable engineering teams to ship independently and safely.
• Introduce pragmatic cloud-native and event-driven solutions where they genuinely improve scalability, reliability and maintainability.
• Make observability a default through standardised monitoring, logging, dashboards and alerting across the platform.
• Improve deployment practices with automated CI/CD, progressive delivery and reliable rollback strategies.
• Embed security, compliance and cost optimisation into the platform through automated guardrails and best practices.
• Coach fellow engineers, review infrastructure and application code, and raise the overall cloud engineering bar through collaboration and example.
