Job summary

McFly & Brown is seeking a Senior Cloud & DevOps Engineer to design, build and evolve reliable cloud platforms in the Eindhoven region. You will enable high-tech product teams by providing scalable GCP-based infrastructure, secure IAM, network configurations and automated deployments.

You will own CI/CD pipelines, IaC with Terraform and GitOps with Argo CD, ensuring robust monitoring, incident response and performance optimization across projects in semiconductors, analytical equipment and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in a technical field with 5+ years in DevOps/Platform/SRE/Cloud Eng.
• Hands-on experience with cloud infra, Kubernetes, containers and IaC, preferably Google Cloud & Terraform.
• Experience with CI/CD and automation, plus observability, security and platform reliability.
• Structured incident management: diagnose issues, communicate impact, drive improvements.
• Strong communication, service mindset and Agile experience.
• Plus: Python or scripting languages.

Responsibilities

• Build and run Google Cloud infrastructure (GKE, IAM, networking, load balancers).
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions and Google Cloud Build (Bash/Python).
• Manage IaC with Terraform and automate GitOps using Argo CD.

Introduction

Would you like to build cloud platforms that enable complex high-tech applications? We are looking for a Senior Cloud & DevOps Engineer for a multidisciplinary technology organisation in the Eindhoven region. You will work on reliable, scalable platforms for projects in industries including semiconductors, analytical equipment and medical technology. Your expertise gives development teams a solid foundation for developing and running software for advanced equipment and data analysis.

Your responsibilities

You ensure that the cloud infrastructure runs reliably and evolves with the needs of users and development teams.

• Build and improve Google Cloud infrastructure, including GKE, IAM, networking and load balancing.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and Google Cloud Build, supported by Bash and Python.
• Manage Infrastructure as Code with Terraform and automate GitOps deployments using Argo CD.
• Improve reliability, security, performance and scalability, including monitoring, logging and alerting.
• Translate stakeholder needs into platform improvements and resolve incidents through root-cause analysis and preventive action.

This technology organisation develops complex systems and software for customers across the international high-tech industry. Your profile

• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in a technical field and at least five years of experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, SRE or Cloud Engineering.
• Hands‑on experience with cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, containers and Infrastructure as Code, preferably using Google Cloud and Terraform.
• Experience with CI/CD and automation, alongside knowledge of observability, security and platform reliability.
• A structured approach to incidents: you diagnose issues, communicate their impact and translate root causes into practical improvements.
• Strong communication skills, a service‑oriented mindset and experience working in an Agile environment.
• A plus: experience with Python or other scripting languages.
