Arup in the Netherlands seeks a Senior Civil Site Development Engineer to lead site infrastructure design, manage packages, and coordinate with clients and specialists. The role supports feasibility through detailed design and construction, with direct client engagement and mentoring opportunities.

You can be based in Amsterdam or Utrecht, with hybrid work typically 2–3 days in the office. A collaborative, global engineering culture awaits.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6–10 years of civil engineering experience.
• Experience leading work packages or smaller projects and engaging directly with clients.
• Strong capability in site infrastructure design including drainage, roads, pavements and utilities.
• Chartered status or progression towards a professional qualification.

Responsabilités

• Lead civil engineering assessments, designs, work packages and smaller projects for complex site development programmes.
• Develop roads, parking, grading, stormwater and foul drainage, water supply and underground utility solutions using Civil 3D, AutoCAD and related tools.
• Prepare design calculations, reports, specifications and drawings, and contribute to quality reviews, approvals and permitting activities.
• Coordinate integrated solutions with clients, authorities and multidisciplinary design teams, including architecture, structures, MEP, landscape, and environmental specialists.
• Support project delivery through client meetings, coordination workshops, site visits and construction inspections, while mentoring graduate and early career engineers.
