Job summary

Bennet & Boss is seeking a Senior Buyer to lead procurement for complex EPC and Oil & Gas projects, sourcing materials, equipment and services, and managing supplier selection, evaluation and contracting to meet budget and schedule constraints across multiple packages.

You will issue and manage purchase orders, monitor costs, supplier performance and risks, negotiate critical terms, and mentor junior buyers to uphold safety, quality and regulatory compliance throughout gas compression, power

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in SCM/Engineering/Business Admin or related field.
• 10+ years procurement experience in EPC/FPSO/Oil & Gas with complex equipment.
• Strong negotiation, communication, analytical and organisational skills; experience in contract management and strategic sourcing.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead procurement plans for materials, equipment and services in line with project requirements, budgets and schedules.
• Source and evaluate suppliers and negotiate commercial terms for critical equipment and mechanical packages, including compressors, pumps, generators, separators, heat exchangers and process skids.
• Issue and manage purchase orders, ensuring compliance with technical specifications, contractual requirements and company procedures.
• Monitor procurement progress, costs, supplier performance and potential risks, providing regular updates to project managers and stakeholders.
• Support and mentor the buying team while ensuring procurement activities meet quality, safety, regulatory and compliance requirements.

Job description

As Senior Buyer, you are responsible for procuring materials, equipment and services required for complex EPC and Oil & Gas projects. You will manage procurement from supplier sourcing and evaluation through contract negotiation, purchase orders and delivery, ensuring alignment with project requirements, budgets and timelines. The role covers a range of complex equipment and mechanical packages, including gas compression, power generation, oil processing and water treatment systems. You will work closely with project and category management teams and support and mentor other buyers.
