Job summary

FairPlay Engineering is seeking a Senior Buyer with at least 7 years in offshore wind procurement to support multi-discipline offshore projects in the Netherlands. You will source materials, equipment, and services, manage MESR, issue inquiries, evaluate bids, and prepare purchase recommendations to ensure timely deliveries and compliant procurement.

Fluency in English, strong negotiation, ERP proficiency, and experience with international suppliers are essential for successful collaboration

Qualifications

• 7+ years of offshore wind procurement experience.
• Strong procurement knowledge and supply chain management.
• Excellent negotiation skills with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• ERP familiarity and procurement software proficiency.
• Strong data-driven decision making.
• Excellent English communication.
• Experience with international suppliers and cross-border procurement.
• Knowledge of offshore industry regulations.
• PMP is a plus.

We are seeking a skilled Senior Buyer with a minimum of 7 years of experience in procurement, specifically within the offshore wind energy sector. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing materials, equipment, and services critical to the success of our offshore projects. Strong English communication skills are essential for effective collaboration with suppliers, internal teams, and stakeholder

What is expected of you:

• Update and Maintain Material and Equipment Status Report (MESR);
• Abide by the agreed VENDORS LIST applicable to the project;

Requirements:

• Minimum of 7 years of experience as a buyer or procurement specialist, with a focus on the offshore wind energy sector.
• Strong understanding of procurement processes, supply chain management, and offshore project requirements.
• Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to influence suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Proficient in procurement software and tools; familiarity with ERP systems is a plus.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
• Experience with international suppliers and cross-border procurement in the offshore industry.
• Knowledge of industry regulations and standards relevant to offshore wind energy.
• Project management certification (e.g., PMP) is a plus.
