Overview

Altum Consulting are partnering with an established global manufacturing brand to recruit a Business Controller to support its operations across key European markets, including the Benelux, Nordics, Baltics, and the UK. This role serves as a strategic financial partner to commercial teams, particularly Sales & Marketing, providing analytical insights and proactive support to drive business performance and profitability. The successful candidate will act as a financial co-pilot—challenging assumptions, identifying opportunities, and contributing to commercial decision-making while ensuring the robustness of financial processes and reporting frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as a strategic advisor and sparring partner to commercial stakeholders, including senior leadership, by translating financial data into actionable business strategies (Power BI / Visualization)
• Provide analytical support on commercial topics such as pricing, rebates, margins, and profitability, ensuring financial targets are achieved
• Own and manage the monthly management reporting process, including responsibility for budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Develop and maintain financial models that support business planning across multiple regions and business lines
• Analyse regional profit and loss accounts and support performance management through clear KPIs and dashboards, including tools such as Power BI
• Ensure financial processes are scalable, efficient, and aligned with future growth

Essential Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum of 5 years\' experience in Business Controlling, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), or a comparable finance function
• Master\'s degree (MSc or equivalent) in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related discipline
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines
• Skilled in building relationships across functions and levels of seniority, with the ability to influence and align diverse stakeholders
• Proficient in Power BI or other business intelligence tools
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP Business One (desirable but not essential)
• Full professional proficiency in English is required
