Scrambly is hiring a Senior Backend Engineer to build core systems serving millions of users. You’ll work across product and internal platforms, focusing on robust, scalable back-end services with a modern stack.

You’ll design high-performance APIs, mentor peers in code quality, and collaborate with product and design to translate requirements into reliable software solutions for a fast-growing adtech platform in the Netherlands.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience.
• Strong focus on Node.js and NestJS.

Responsibilities

• Architecture & Development: Design, build, and maintain highly scalable Node.js (NestJS) RESTful APIs and distributed systems.
• Quality & Mentorship: Champion clean, testable code and mentor engineers through reviews and pair programming.
• Infrastructure & Performance: Monitor reliability, resolve bottlenecks, manage containerized lifecycles, optimize CI/CD with DevOps.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Align with Product, Design, QA to translate requirements into robust specs and communicate constraints clearly.
