Job summary

Scrambly is hiring a Senior Analytics Engineer to build and run the data platform behind the commercial side of the business. You will maintain pipelines turning raw events, attribution data, and advertiser feeds into trusted tables used to size opportunities, set thresholds, and guide decisions.

You will join an early-stage data team, work with the Head of Data, and collaborate with Data Scientists, Backend, and Account Management.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in analytics engineering, data engineering, BI development, or a closely related role with pipelines running in production.
• Strong SQL and solid analytical data modelling: layered warehouse design, incremental models, and handling real-world logic.
• Analytical judgement to measure and answer commercial questions and provide recommendations.
• Experience with Google Cloud: BigQuery, Dataform, Cloud Functions, Cloud Scheduler, Pub/Sub, IAM.
• Python for data work and familiarity with Git and code review, plus testing data rather than assuming correctness.
• Proactive, self-directed work style in a very small team and English at B2+ for written and spoken communication.

Responsibilities

• Build and model analytical pipelines in Dataform on BigQuery; turn source data into trusted tables.
• Analyse commercial questions, set thresholds, and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
• Own existing pipelines, document them, and keep them running in production.
• Add testing, assertion, and alerting to data models to detect issues early.
• Raise engineering standards by optimizing warehouse costs and performance, reducing duplication.
• Collaborate with Head of Data, Data Scientists, Backend, and commercial teams.
