Job summary

Priva Energy in the Netherlands is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to help build and scale production services across Energy Solutions, with focus on backend, cloud, and DevOps foundations. You’ll shape end-to-end shipping of features and improve scalability for multiple Neo products.

You will collaborate with the Energy Solutions teams to integrate optimization and forecasting models, strengthen the cloud infrastructure in Azure, and improve CI/CD, monitoring, and reliability in real-world

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher in IT-related field.
• Around 5 years in software engineering with backend/production systems experience.
• Experience across backend production, cloud infra, or front-end or optimization integration.
• Production-ready deployments with systems in production and monitoring.
• Nice-to-have: Python, Azure, Docker, Kubernetes/CI-CD tooling, SQL, Linux, React/TypeScript.

Responsibilities

• Design and build backend services processing data and running optimization logic.
• Integrate optimization and forecasting models into production systems.
• Develop and maintain APIs for internal and external use.
• Own cloud infrastructure and strengthen CI/CD, monitoring, and deployment practices.
• Collaborate with cross-team stakeholders and engineers to deliver end-to-end solutions.
