BetterMe is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer for its Core Team to build new services in Go while migrating legacy PHP systems (Symfony/Laravel). This remote role offers flexible work and a focus on scalable infrastructure.

You will work on messaging systems and databases, collaborate across squads, and help drive performance, reliability, and on-call readiness while delivering high-impact features.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of backend development experience.
• At least 2 years of commercial Go development.
• Experience with PHP frameworks (Symfony/Laravel) and SQL databases.
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes and CI/CD pipelines.
