Job summary

Nebius Group in Amsterdam is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Capacity and Quota Management team, building the control plane for compute reservations and quotas across Nebius services.

You will own the maturation of capacity and quota management from foundations to advanced tradeoffs, shaping distributed backend systems and microservice architecture, with a high-ownership role and meaningful impact on AI workloads.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong knowledge of Python or willingness to quickly become productive with our technology stack.
• Experience building distributed backend systems and microservice architectures.
• Understanding of distributed transactions, consistency models, and reliable asynchronous workflows.
• Strong communication and ownership mindset.

Responsibilities

• Define and implement capacity and quota management for compute resources.
• Design and build the capacity reservation engine and quota control plane.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure scalable backend services.
• Ensure reliability with distributed transactions and async workflows.
• Take ownership of architecture and trade-offs over time.
