Job summary

Sunweb Group is hiring a Senior Android Engineer to own features from design to release. You will work with Kotlin and Jetpack Compose on a long-lived codebase, focusing on quality and customer experience.

This role offers a flexible hybrid model with options in Rotterdam or Girona, and close collaboration with iOS and backend engineers. You will evolve a modular Gradle codebase, apply modern architecture principles, and drive ownership from day one, contributing to platform parity and resilient

Qualifications

• 5+ years of production Android development with Kotlin
• Solid experience with Jetpack Compose
• Strong knowledge of Coroutines, Flow and Android lifecycle
• Experience with clean or layered architecture and DI
• Multi-module Gradle projects and build types/flavors
• CI/CD practices and Git workflows
• Play Console release-management and versioning
• Experience consuming REST APIs and caching behaviour
• Experience integrating third-party SDKs (payments)
• Professional English proficiency

Responsibilities

• Build and evolve customer-facing Android experiences using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
• Own features from refinement and technical design through testing, release and production monitoring.
• Mentor teammates and provide Android architectural direction.
• Collaborate with iOS and backend engineers for platform parity.
• Develop modular Gradle codebase with clean-architecture principles.
• Apply DI, Coroutines and Flow effectively across the app.
• Ensure revenue-critical journeys (payments, transfers) are robust.
• Leverage Firebase, Analytics and New Relic to improve app health.
• Maintain high standards for productivity and code quality.
