Job summary

the company is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to lead technical vision for the AI Application Platform and intelligence products. You will partner with product, data science, ML, and platform engineering teams to deliver scalable, high‑impact AI capabilities and driving architectural decisions.

You will guide architecture, enforce standards, and mentor engineers while delivering end‑to‑end value across Marketplace AI experiences.

Qualifications

10+ years of software development experience with 3+ years in technical leadership.
Proven track record delivering complex technical initiatives at scale.
Hands-on experience building/operating production ML/AI systems.
Experience with GenAI and foundation models in production contexts.
Fluency across data/AI stack from data engineering to platform APIs.

Responsibilities

Lead scoping and redesign of systems impacting customers and partners.
Define engineering patterns for AI/ML capabilities across Marketplace.
Drive technical direction of the AI Application Platform.
Translate concepts into concrete artifacts and guiding principles.
Serve as tech lead on cross‑team projects.
Develop strategy and guiding principles for engineering teams.
Hands-on development of POCs if required.
Guide implementation of strategic decisions in cross‑functional teams.
Collaborate with product owners, architects, and engineers on scalable, resilient applications.
Provide technical guidance and enforce standards.
Advise leadership on achieving strategic objectives.
Align architectural solutions across business units.
Mentor senior engineers and strengthen the engineering community.
