Job summary

Levy Global is recruiting a Senior AI Platform Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable AI Gateways and cloud infrastructure in an enterprise setting. You will secure, monitor and govern AI services across Azure, Kubernetes, and related platforms, applying modern platform engineering practices.

The role emphasizes hands-on work with APIM/Kong, AKS, and IaC, with a focus on security, governance and scalable architectures.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with AI Gateways or API management platforms (APIM, Kong).
• Strong Azure platform engineering skills including networking and IAM.
• Experience with AKS/Kubernetes, Azure AI Services, Python, CI/CD and IaC (Bicep).
• Understanding of Generative AI, LLMOps, RAG and AI security.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain AI Gateway solutions using APIM, Kong or similar.

Are you a Senior AI Platform Engineer with hands-on experience building and maintaining AI Gateways and cloud infrastructure? Do you know how to securely connect, manage and monitor AI services in an enterprise environment? You will help build scalable, secure and governed AI platforms using Azure, Kubernetes and modern platform engineering practices.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO

• Develop and maintain AI Gateway solutions using Azure API Management (APIM), Kong or similar technologies, managing authentication, rate limiting, monitoring and cost tracking.
• Design and maintain scalable Azure infrastructure, integrating AI services with AKS/Kubernetes.
• Build CI/CD pipelines, automate platform processes and implement Infrastructure as Code.
• Ensure security, governance, compliance, availability and monitoring across AI services and infrastructure.
• Develop reusable templates and collaborate with architecture, security and data teams to enable secure AI adoption.

AN IDEAL PROFILE WOULD BE

• Proven hands-on experience with AI Gateways or API management platforms, such as APIM or Kong.
• Strong Azure platform engineering skills, including networking, Entra ID/IAM and cloud-native architectures.
• Experience with AKS/Kubernetes, Azure AI Services, Python, CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code, preferably Bicep.
• Understanding of Generative AI, LLMOps, RAG, AI agents, AI security and monitoring.
• Strong architectural thinking and the ability to work independently in complex, regulated environments.
