Job summary

Huxley in Amsterdam seeks a Senior AI Software Engineer to design, build and scale AI powered applications and agent-based solutions across a complex business environment. You will transform promising AI use cases into a scalable product ecosystem, defining architecture and reusable capabilities for production systems.

The role focuses on turning prototypes into production-ready solutions, integrating enterprise systems, and ensuring security, reliability and governance in a hybrid Amsterdam

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience.
• Strong software architecture and system design expertise.
• Hands-on experience building GenAI and agentic applications.
• Experience with AI agents, orchestration and multi-agent systems.
• Knowledge of OpenAI, ChatGPT, Claude or comparable platforms.
• Experience with RAG, retrieval, grounding and context engineering.
• Experience with APIs, enterprise integrations and MCP/tool calling frameworks.
• Solid understanding of testing, CI/CD, security, monitoring and production operations.

This is an AI application engineering and architecture role. It is not a machine learning research, data science or model training position. The focus is on applying existing AI technologies to real business workflows and delivering secure, scalable production solutions.

Please note this role requires Hybrid working in Amsterdam
