WeTravel Finance, based in Amsterdam, is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our growing team in Amsterdam. You will help build a world-class finance function ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strategic insight.

We value autonomy, ownership, and collaboration. Ideal candidate has 3+ years in accounting, a Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance, and proficiency with NetSuite, Ramp, Excel, and Google Suite. Hybrid work with an office in central Amsterdam.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience in accounting.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Proficiency with NetSuite, Ramp, Excel, and Google Suite.

Responsibilities

• Own mid-level month-end tasks and reconciliations (accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, payroll liabilities, intangible assets, VAT returns).
• Own multiple areas of financial and tax-related audits and reviews.
• Own multiple bank reconciliations in a multinational/multicurrency environment.
• Assist management with integration of acquired entities, ERP setup, statutory reporting, and documenting new accounting procedures.
• Own transfer pricing entries as determined by external transfer pricing study.

Why You Should or Shouldn't Apply

• Have 3+ years of experience in accounting

• Have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

• Are highly proficient in our core software stack: NetSuite, Ramp, Excel, Google Suite

• Have strong analytical skills and attention to detail

• Possess a solid understanding of financial accounting principles (bonus if you know US GAAP).

• Are proactive, adaptable, and eager to learn

• Are a team player who communicates clearly and effectively, and feels comfortable presenting financial data to the team weekly

• Have experience owning multiple areas of the financial close process

• Require heavy oversight to complete standard month‑end tasks or reconciliations

• Aren’t comfortable working in a hybrid or tech‑savvy environment

• Don’t have any foundation/experience in accounting or familiarity with key financial processes

• Find it challenging to manage your time independently or prioritize tasks

On a Weekly Basis You Will Find Yourself

• Owning mid‑level month‑end tasks and reconciliations such as: Accruals, Prepaids, Fixed Assets, Payroll liabilities, Intangible assets, VAT returns

• Assist management with integration of acquired entities including setup in ERP, statutory reporting, and documenting new accounting procedures.

• Own Transfer pricing entries as determined by external transfer pricing study.
