Job summary

ORFEUS, based at KNMI in The Netherlands, seeks a Software developer/seismologist to join the data management team. You will help structure QC procedures into services for data providers and users, and develop QC products with international partners.

Ideal candidates hold a degree in seismology or software development, with strong programming skills (Linux/Unix, C, Perl, Python, SQL). The role is a four-year temporary contract and may involve travel.

Qualifications

• Academic degree in seismology or related field, or software development with seismology affinity.
• Strong programming skills in Linux/Unix environments and languages listed.
• Experience with seismic network data and relevant tools is a plus.
• Excellent communication and ability to collaborate across teams.
