Job summary

Catawiki is seeking a Lead Security Engineer to shape the security roadmap and own delivery of complex security initiatives. You will work with Product and Platform Engineering to protect the marketplace and customer data, focusing on application and cloud security, secure software delivery, and AI-enabled systems.

The role is an individual contributor today, with potential future movement into people management as the team evolves.

Qualifications

Substantial hands-on security engineering experience in a software or cloud environment.
Strong knowledge of application and cloud security, including IAM, secrets management and secure SDLC.
Led threat modelling, secure code and design reviews and remediation work.
Develop or automate in Ruby, Python or Go and review backend code.

Responsibilities

Shape the security engineering roadmap and lead complex initiatives from assessment through implementation.
Design and build security controls across applications, cloud infra, IAM, CI/CD, and IaC.
Lead threat modelling and secure code/design reviews with early risk identification.
Investigate vulnerabilities, prioritize findings and implement reusable controls.
Improve security checks in engineering workflows and reduce false positives.
