Job summary

Allied Universal in Holland, MI is seeking a Security Officer Credential Review to protect client sites across various industries, including Food/Beverage. As an Access Control Officer at a food and beverage location, you will manage entry points, verify credentials, and assist visitors and employees with professional communication.

You will monitor access, respond to incidents, perform patrols, and support site safety and policy compliance, with day and night shifts and full-time employment.

Qualifications

• CPR certification preferred.
• 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements vary by state/locality and may be required.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by following security procedures, site policies, access-control protocols, and emergency response as needed.
• Monitor and control access to the production location by verifying credentials and maintaining logs.
• Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and other situations; notify site contacts and document actions.
• Conduct regular patrols of access points, entrances, visitor areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized entry.
• Communicate site rules to employees, visitors, vendors, and contractors to support site requirements.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access-control protocols, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor and control access to the food and beverage production location by verifying credentials, maintaining visitor and contractor logs, and directing authorized personnel in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and complete required documentation.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points, employee entrances, visitor areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized entry.
• Support site quality and facility-entry requirements by communicating applicable rules to employees, visitors, vendors, and contractors.

Minimum Requirements

• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
